    Thank you so much for the add! I'm starting with Summer in Bavaria - I'm so excited! I'm waiting on a large enough set of scroll rods to arrive but not really waiting - I'm going to start in the upper left corner today.

    Do you use 25 count on yours? If so, do you typically use 1 or 2 threads or just it just depend?

    Judy, hi! Am starting on my first HAED project and wanted to tell you thank you for your son's service - my son just came back from tour #2 and my daughter just commissioned in the Army as well...love your interests and hope you'll consider adding me as a friend on HAED blog. A little more about me: I'm 48, married, and work as a professional nonfiction writer and genealogist. I too love needlepoint and am learning crochet and someknitting - but cross stitch is my passion. Other than that, I'm in the middle of losing 140 pounds (72 so far), love bicycling and fishing. My Bio

I have been married almost 42 years to my childhood sweetheart. We have 3 wonderful sons...two married (no grandchildren yet!) Two live in Oregon and the youngest is in the Army stationed in Iraq at the moment. . My DH and I retired 6 years ago and moved to Las Vegas for sun and fun. (tired of the grey, rainy skies of Oregon where we lived for over 29 years....beautiful state and still love to visit it!) We are originally from Neb./Iowa where we grew up and went to school. I have x-stitched for over 25 years..also enjoy knitting scarves, crocheting afghans and needlepoint...but x-stitch is my main passion and addiction..that and pretty yarns for scarves....
